Blogging Platforms...

As web designers
we are often asked
"How do you get noticed by Google?"

so we decided to
look for an effective way of helping companies getting higher up on the
Google search rankings and got into blogging...

Our research told us that blogging was
one way to achieve this and we decided
to create our own blog to confirm the theory.

To truly validate the test we chose a name

for our blog already well populated across
the web “The Style Scout”. A search of that
name put a well-established Elle magazine
column in the top two positions of the search.
Added to which there were two or three
companies who used that name and
appeared in the other slots on the first page of that search results.

So we started blogging using the name The Style Scout and as you can see from the screen shot (right) almost all the Google search results using that term refer to our blog even though we ended the test and
have not updated the blog for over six months.

Also its free and easy to get you going...

Corporate/Company Benefits from Blogging...

Idea generation: Testing the market for comment and feedback...

Broadcasting: Telling clients and interested parties what you are doing...

Information management: Have an enormous store of knowledge made easier to access by labeling every posting...

Poke one of London’s hippest agencies and joint third on New Media Age Top 100 list has just launched its new website with a blog as its homepage... Likewise they are introducing the concept to their clients... I really liked the blog they have produced for the World Wildlife Fund...

to inexpensively distributing press releases and publishing articles on your clients or projects.

BACKGROUND

These days the core needs for any successful business are:

• New ideas or innovative products.
• Visibility.

• A motivated team of people who work together to make the
company succeed.

Ideas: the problem with bringing ideas to the surface is threefold; giving ideas space to develop, helping ideas get improved, and implementing the best ideas.
Increasing Visibility: Marketing is all about visibility—making the right people aware of the right product at the right time. A Motivated Team: One of the best ways to build a great business is to create a great team. Great teams will think up great ideas, build visibility, and spot defects in products, which they can then correct before investing resources.

HOW BLOGS CAN HELP YOUR BUSINESS ?

Blogs are the easiest and a most effective way to distribute press releases or publishing articles on your clients or projects.
Blogging, is an effective environment to test new ideas get feedback -via the comment function- and better evaluate if an idea worth developing into a product or service Interactive and dynamic Web sites such as blogs are increasingly the preferred distribution method for “viral” campaigns and “viral” marketers. Visibility is achieved as editors, media professionals, coolhunters and other opinion leaders compulsively trawl blogs to pick-up on trends and new ideas.
